Why I take photos
One day I woke up and realized: Evgeny, you always had a dream; why not make it come true? The dream was to photograph. To display my representation of the world. My perspective on whatever I take pictures of.
- When I take nature photos, I want to show how tremendously captivating it can be.
- When I take architecture photos, I want to show how stunning and reserved it can be.
- When I take people’s photos, I want to show how beautiful, diverse, and naturally unique people are
Can I have a photo session?
Yes. I’m relatively new to photography, therefore, my prices for individual photo sessions are pretty low. You can judge how my photos turn out in the portfolio and decide if it’s worth it. Also, if you are an artist we can collaborate.
What kind of pictures I take
I started off as an urban street photographer and mainly focused on cityscapes and everyday life captures. I have been also documenting protests and public meetings. Today I expanded to nature and wildlife, street photos, and architecture, utilizing juxtaposition composition techniques. And, of course, portrait photography.
Do you make videos too?
I do make videos and enjoy editing them. I don’t go for something complicated because I love minimalism and clarity. Yet, I have all the necessary equipment.
What software do you use?
I tried many different apps. I used to work with Lightroom CC and Classic, Photoshop and GIMP, Luminar Neo, Affinity Photo, darktable. But my choice for photo editing today is Capture One.
I loved Adobe, but a subscription isn’t for me. Also, Capture One is much faster, in my humble opinion.
For video editing, I use Davinci Resolve. I tried Final Cut and Adobe Premier. And by far, Davinci was and is the best choice.
