Project: Legacy
My new project is appointed to time travel. Not precisely, like in “Back to the future, “ but still captivating. I recreate photos of different places and then compare them with the old shots of the same place. Why is it called “Legacy”? Because I want to draw a line and show how sometimes different the cities look like compared to what it was some time ago. It’s good to remember how it was. Moreover, it’s a good indicator that we have to be careful with our legacy and preserve it.
Berlin: Bahnhof Friedrishstraße 2022/1930
This is what the station looked like approx. in the 1930s. Interestingly enough, it has quite a lot of similarities. Looks familiar yet pretty alien.
Unter den Linden, Berlin, Germany
This is one more time traveling photo. This time it’s taken on Unter den Linden in the heart of Berlin. The view is at the German History Museum. You can also spot the Rathaus on the Alexanderplatz and the famous Berlin Tower.
Berliner Dom 1897/2022
Surprisingly, this place looks… Completely different. It’s because the Berliner Dom was rebuilt a few times in its lifetime. After 1897, new plans were suggested, and the former church was remodeled into the cathedral we know today.
